Automotive Light Painting Photography
What is it?
Through a process of multiple camera exposures and painting the car with light, the final product is a complex and dynamic photo lit from multiple angles in front of an amazing scene. This is essentially an automotive portrait done in the field with studio quality.
We meet at an agreed upon location at a set time. With planning for weather, sunset/sunrise, sun/moon alignment and cycle, and many other factors, we will then stage your car in its final pose for the photo. The process of the photo can last 1 to 3 hours depending on size of the vehicle, time of day, and color of the car. Final delivery of the photo can be as quick as same day to 1 week. Typically, several different versions are delivered such as headlights on/off, interior lights on/off, and auxiliary or emergency lights.

I provide many prints through my website including acrylic and metal prints. Both are fantastic choices for this type of photography. I use a print lab in Southern California that is renowned for their printing. Metal prints show up within 1-2 weeks normally, but acrylic prints tend to take up to a month. However, the wait is worth it, as when the acrylic print is lit from the front, it looks backlit while on display. Prints are available for purchase through our website after the photos have been delivered.
